321 plate is a titanium-stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel renowned for its exceptional resistance to high-temperature exposure and corrosion. The addition of titanium prevents chromium carbide precipitation during welding and exposure to elevated temperatures, making it the ideal choice for applications involving intermittent heating between 800°F - 1500°F (427°C - 816°C). Processing and Maintenance Recommendations

 

When processing UNS S32100 Stainless Steel Sheet, please note the following:

Welding

Conventional arc welding or argon arc welding can be used, but solution treatment is recommended after welding to relieve stress and improve corrosion resistance.

Cutting

Laser cutting, water jet cutting, or plasma cutting are all acceptable, but high temperatures that may cause localized oxidation should be avoided.

Daily Maintenance

Although corrosion resistance is relatively good, regular cleaning is still required in high-salt or high-humidity environments to prevent long-term fouling that may affect performance.
